Gambling in West Virginia

You will find that most forms of gambling in West Virginia are legal.

There are five state-approved casinos (albeit mainly racinos at the state's licensed tracks) that are spread around several counties, and at these establishments you will be able to play not only slot machines, table games and poker but four of the locations are able to offer a full-fledged sportsbook.

The Mountain State has had the honor of being one of the few states in the USA that have taken the bull by the horns and legalized sports betting, both offline and online, with the first sports bet taking place in September 2018 at the FanDuel Sportsbook at Greenbrier.

As well as betting on horse racing in the state, residents can also take part in Daily Fantasy Sports leagues.
