Racing in Pennsylvania

All racing is controlled by the Pennsylvania Racing Commission, and it oversees the six horse racing venues in the state. At each of these locations, you will be able to place parimutuel wagers on events taking place at the track as well as simulcast events around the country.

As well as race offerings several of the establishments are racinos, which means you will also be able to indulge in playing slot machines, poker and traditional table games such as roulette.

If you are unable to reach of the race tracks, you are also legally allowed to place bets online with US-based operators such as BetAmerica and TwinSpires. Once your account is created and you have taken advantage of one of their sign-up offers for new customers, then you will be able to place wagers on events around the country and watch the results live on your computer

TVG customers in the state must use the Harrah's-operated TVG website, available at https://pabets.tvg.com. With TVG, Pennsylvania residents are only able to place wagers on tracks that are offered by Harrah's Chester. You will not be able to wager on Quarter Horses, Arabians, Appaloosas, Mixed Race or races listed as "Other". Also restricted is placing of wagers at Los Alamitos or Remington Park and the following countries are also restricted: France, Hong Kong, Great Britain, Ireland, Japan and South Africa.
