The state law in Indiana was fairly relaxed towards gambling, with residents allowed to place bets on online horse racing, play real-money fantasy sports and real-money games of skill.
Lawmakers expanded on this with two bills being introduced in 2019 that have allowed legal online sports betting, and legal gambling in Indiana arrived in September 2019. Betting was introduced first at the brick and mortar establishments in state and during October 2019 the first online sports betting transactions were able to take place with online operators such as William Hill partnering up with the local casinos.
So far, several operations have already come online in the state, including BetMGM, Bet America and Points Bet, these all ready to accept online sports bets with more operators set be going live in the coming months.
Although every care has been taken into providing the information for this map, state law can often change and this map is how we at GamingUSA understand the gambling law in each state to be as of March 27th 2023
