Gambling in Hawaii
Aloha is a word from Hawaii that most people around the world have heard before, and if you are unaware it is used as a greeting and it means "welcome. It is not a word, though, that is used when it comes to gambling as the Paradise of the Pacific has a very stern outlook on any type of gambling.
Hawaii has not followed the betting patterns of the mainland and has held a strict anti-gambling policy since it attained statehood in 1959.
You will not be able to find a single legal casino, bingo hall or racetrack anywhere on the islands. Despite the large influx of tourists to the region, the only casinos will be those on board the massive cruise ships which periodically dock at the islands. There is no access to any DFS or online poker and even the existence of a state lottery is strictly off the cards for Hawaii residents.
