The state previously had an intolerance towards gambling, but that changed following a statewide ballot that took place at the tail end of November 2018. Arkansas now allows the creation of four casinos that will be legally allowed to offer gambling and sportsbooks.
Two of these locations will be existing racinos, as the state already had two licensed racetracks that have already been allowed to operate real money electronic table games and slots, but these racinos have also been given permission to expand their operations to include full sportsbooks.
As for the status of online real money betting at casinos, this remains ambiguous as the November ballot did not specifically allow the process to be made legal; it should be soon addressed by the Arkansas Racing Commission. On the plus side, fantasy sports have been legalized in the state since 2017 and bettors can also place bets online for greyhound and horse racing.

Southland Casino And Racing (1550 Ingram Boulevard, West Memphis)
